Tree seeds restocked!

We're pleased to announce that the following items are now available for sale once again:

Paw-paw (Asimina triloba) - A small fruit tree native to North America's eastern coast. It is able to grow up to zone 5, and success growing these plants as far north as Ottawa has been reported. Paw paws produce a fleshy green fruit that has a distinct flavour. A tropical looking tree, it makes a great ornamental piece in a garden.

Norway spruce (Picea abies) - One of the hardiest conifers, it can tolerate a wide variety of growing conditions. An excellent tree for windbreaks, privacy screens or fast-growing forestry plantation. Easy to germinate and grow, great for beginners, hobbyists and experimenters alike. Hardy to zone 4 or less, it is a good choice for those living in the western provinces or higher latitudes.

Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) - An iconic tree of the west coast, British Columbia and the Cascades. A naturally fire-resistant tree, the bark in old specimens is able to withstand brush fires. Another coniferous tree that grows very large, some of the tallest specimens in the world of living trees are Douglas-firs. Hardy up to zone 5, it can easily grow in southern Ontario's temperate climates.
