(Tsuga mertensiana)

Mountain hemlock is a large evergreen conifer that is related to Western hemlock and grows at higher altitudes in the province of British Columbia. Cones are longer than other hemlocks, about 5-8cm long and 2-3cm wide. Bark is gray and furrowed, and the tree grows in a conical shape and can reach 40m tall. It grows best in cold, snowy regions and tends to slowly increase in height. In cold environments, specimens can reach over 300 or 400 years old.

Germination: Soak in cold water for 24 hours and cold stratify for 90 days before sowing 1-cm deep in sterile potting soil.

Packet contains at least 100 seeds. (0.9g/100s)
