Known as the Deodar cedar, it is a species of true cedar native to the Himalayan mountains. A large evergreen tree, it can reach over 50m or 60m in height in some regions. Leaves are bright green to white-blue in colour, needle-like, 2-5cm long and borne in clusters of 20-30.
Germination: Soak seeds in water overnight. A short cold pre-treatment of 7-14 days may increase germination rate. Plant 2-3cm deep in a moist soil substrate.
