(Pinus eldarica)
Afghan pine or desert pine, is native to central Asia and thrives in hot dry environments. Very drought resistant, it grows 20-30m in height and up to 1m diameter. Leaves are needle-like and 10-16cm long with a dark yellow-green colour. Cones are 5-10cm long and slightly less wide, with a red-brown colour when mature.
Germination: Soak in water for 24 hours. Cold stratify for 30 days. Sow 1-2cm deep in sterile potting mix.
Packet contains at least 50 seeds.
