(Salvia officinalis)
Known as common sage, it is an important culinary herb in the mint family. Its green velvety leaves are used fresh or dry as a seasoning for meat and vegetables. It prefers full sun or partial shade, and well drained soil. Excellent herb to keep in the garden and attract beneficial insects.
Germination: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before planting in the spring. Germination in 10-18 days at 15C.
