This is a five-needled pine native to Japan that produces a sizeable seed in a small cone. A slow growing but very aesthetically pleasing tree. Perfect for gardens and front yards as an interesting specimen. Japanese white pine is also popular as a miniature tree and features prominently in the bonsai trade.
Germination: Soak in water for 24 hours then cold stratify for 60 days. Sow under 1cm of potting soil. Water regularly and keep soil moist.
