Red spruce is a species native to eastern North America , ranging from eastern Quebec to Nova Scotia , and from western North Carolina to New England south in the Adirondack Mountains and Appalachians. Mature trees are often harvested to be used for pulp and flooring, as well as the bark being used to make baskets.

 

Germination: Soak in water for 24 hours. No stratification required. Sow seed 1/16" deep, tamping down the soil and mulching the seed bed.
